Paulus on November 5, 2023, reported on the physical background of this year's Nobel Prize in Physics, the development of which he witnessed directly as a doctoral student and postdoc and to which he contributed decisively. The Nobel Prize in Physics 2023 was awarded to Pierre Agostini, Ferenc Krausz and Anne L’Huillier “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter.”
