Dr. Robert Klas, from Helmholtz Institute Jena and Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF, has received this year’s “Hugo Geiger Award for Young Scientists”. The award was given in recognition of Klas’ work on the development of compact high-power EUV sources, conducted in the framework of his PhD project. The award is granted by the Free State of Bavaria and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft to outstanding young researchers. The award ceremony took place on March 21 in Munich.
