The Helmholtz Institute Jena successfully participated in the Girls Day 2016 - a nationwide event in Research Facilities and Technical Companies aiming at encouraging girls to pursue careers in the technical fields.
Twelve teenagers attended the Girls Day event at Helmholtz Institute Jena. Here their task was to find out how to use a soldering iron and complete a self constructed switch. In addition the event encompassed a lab tour through the JETI laser facility. The day ended with selfmade nitrogen ice cream. The participating girls were completely enthusiastic about the practical technical work and had a wonderful day.
