The twelve dipoles that form the low energy storage ring CRYRING@ESR have been installed in their place. The final steps of the infrastructural work at the CRYRING cave are in progress. The picture shows about half of the storage ring, with the fork lift just about to position the height-adjusted frame for supporting a switching dipole of the two injector beamlines, delivering beams either from a local ion source or from ESR. The installation of the power converter and associated electronics is also ongoing so that we are optimistic to start commissioning of the local source end of this year and of the ring in the middle of next year.
