11th Topical Workshop of the SPARC Collaboration

Beschreibung

The Workshop is organized by the SPARC Collaboration, GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung. and Helmholtz Institut Jena. It is a satellite meeting to the International Conference of Science and Technology for FAIR in Europe which will be held in Worms, Germany.

The SPARC Collaboration is an international platform for advanced research in atomic physics with highly charged ions, established in 2002-2003 in connection with the Facility for Antiprotons and Ions (FAIR), currently under construction at GSI, Darmstadt.

During this Workshop the main SPARC collaboration activities will be discussed: the physics Programme of the Modular Start Version/Day-one experiments, TDRs, status of the SPARC projects (experiments, detector development, civil construction), status of the SPARC relevant facilities at FAIR (HESR, CRYRING, APPA cave and HITRAP), funding and time line.
